I have been a student of the Enneagram since 1972. For 34 years I tried to stay clear of any controversy about the ‘Western transmission” though I have followed closely the work of some people who have followed Claudio Naranjo and Oscar Ichazo. I read tribe.net also and sometimes make comments. Recently, however, as I examine what has been said about Naranjo’s work in early 70’s, I think that it might be useful to revisit those heady days in Berkeley.
I started to blog about it, but soon discovered that the format was not the right vehicle. So I set to work on three articles. The first (which does appear on my blog) tries to describe how Claudio actually worked with his first students; the second examines the muddied stories about esoteric roots of the system; and the third, which is not yet published, concerns the “Jesuit transmission.”
Here are the links. I welcome your comments.
