...and welcome to all the new people who joined us over the past couple of weeks.
It's been pretty quiet, so I'd thought that I had started reading "The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram: Nine Faces of the Soul" by Sandra Maitri. Several people had recommended it to me as a book well-worth reading, but somehow, maybe because it's related from such a different perspective compared to my favourite Riso/Hudson books, that's it's been a tough slog sometimes. I got as far as page 37 and haven't touched it now for at least six months.
How do other people here feel about this book? And do you have any suggestions how an over-social Two can dig into this material more effectively?

Re: Hello everybody!
Sat, March 6, 2004 - 7:33 PMI found chapters 11-13 particularly insightful. Of the books that I have read, Maitri has shed the most light on the sub-types. She also writes from a perspective that I value which is not just diagnosis of personality, but gives the personality a framework for personal growth.
Good luck getting past page thirty-seven. Also, remember that you don't have to read the pages in order...
