Thu, November 27, 2003 - 12:19 AMLook on the logo of Enneagram. The lines on it are the paths of stress/relaxation dynamics. There are two cycles the first is the triangle 9 -> 6 -> 3 -> 9, the other is 1 -> 7 -> 5 -> 8 -> 2 -> 4 -> 1, the arrow is in the direction of relaxation (and the direction of self developement). -

Re: Help with wings and movements
Sat, November 29, 2003 - 3:37 PMso if I'm a core four then, my stress would be one and relaxation two, but how would I ever try to depicte the path to a 9, which are some of my best friends? -

Re: Help with wings and movements
Sat, November 29, 2003 - 8:39 PMactually, the way i learned it is a integration and disintegration movement (according to riso and hudson). the arrow indicates either movement, depending on which way it is moving. each way is natural. for a four, integration (which is generally positive and more healthy) is towards a one, whereas disintergration (generally negative and more unhealthy) is towards a two, or becoming so dependent on someone that a four becomes aloof, overinvolved, and clingy (straight out of riso/hudson). a integrated movement for a four is more objective and principled.
does that help or make it more confusing?
