I just put a blogpost giving an introduction to the Enneagram to my readers (since I keep mentioning it in my blog).
I'm particularly interested in feedback/criticism of my brief explanation (and particularly the chart I put up). I figured this would be a good group to ask :-)

Re: Looking for feedback...
Sat, April 17, 2004 - 11:08 AMHi Ryan,
Nice job of "publicizing" the enneagram to a non-eanneagram audience!
In terms of just "gut feeling" feedback, I like your prose better than your chart. Not that I don't LIKE the chart-- I think the basic format is great, but some of your "keywords" struck me as slightly "iffy." Although, I certainly grant you that it all will depend somewhat on whose teachings we're looking at.
Mostly it was the "fear" statements I had a little trouble fully agreeing with, or at least some them felt "incomplete" to me. For example, I'm a Nine, and most Nines I know have "Fear of conflict" top of their list. For Ones, I'd also be looking for "fear of anger." For Threes, "fear of failure." For Fives, "fear of incompetence." For Eights, "fear of weakness."
In general, though, it looks great!

Re: Looking for feedback...
Sat, April 17, 2004 - 2:24 PMThank you so much for the feedback, Peter. I pretty much stuck to the Riso/Hudson script when I listed the fears, but I can see where your suggestions fit in well too.

Sun, April 18, 2004 - 6:55 AMYup, me too, I get terminally bored very easily.
Being trapped is not a fear for me though, hmm, individual differences.
