I hate public speaking. It is one of those things I know I will never be comfortable doing. I consider myself quite the counterphobic 6, and my 7 wing usually helps me out in the social arena, however, this is a fear I don't feel I'll ever be able to master. My hands shake, my voice shakes, and while I try to calm myself, my mind is racing and telling me "not to mess up!" It's so frustrating.
In smaller groups, I'm fine giving little speeches, even if I don't feel confident enough in what I'm saying, but 10 people or more and my mind goes crazy.
Do any of you other 6's have an intense fear of public speaking that you don't know how to get over? What are some other fears that you feel are sometimes impossible to face?

just speaking in front of anyone I don't know well is painful.
Ironically, I was elected to represent my class for "Speaker's cup" earlier this year :P
It didn't come easy though, I practiced obsessively the weekend before so that I had the whole five minutes memorized... I think I pulled it off pretty well, considering the nervous wreck I was inside. I was especially worried that my speech would bore everyone! Shows just how much I actually underestimate myself heh, but I'd rather keep it that way 'cause you always do well when you expect the worst. :-)
(I'm an optimist, I swear.)
oh and I'm also scared to sleep without my doona, no matter how scorching hot the weather!
